Follow up to ethnobotany discussion (ANTH 104-002)

Many of you identified an interest in ethnobotany, specifically in the context of cancer research.  I will continue to run down some resources, but thought I would post this reference while I was thinking about it.

Unfortunately you may need a biology degree to really understand much of the information in this and other similar articles, but I think a key take away message is that the application of ethnobotany in this context is an important element to research in fighting cancers.

Mark Plotkin is now the president of the Amazon Conservation Team, which he cofounded in 1996.  I have dropped him an email to see if he can update the information from the movie we watched in class; I will let you know if/when I hear back from him!
